The Horse's Mouth

Watched a British film tonight made in 1958 (the year I was born), starring Alec Guiness as a starving, supposedly brilliant & somewhat mad painter, who wreaks havoc in his wake in a comic-tragic way. It left me feeling a bit ungratified, but I'm not sure why.  Usually takes me some time to process.

An attempt to tackle taxes today, but after a few hours I escaped to the studio to avoid my own version of madness.  I'll get back to them tomorrow.  Meanwhile some new sketchy paintings are emerging.  Connected to what I've been doing but possibly evolving.  I like the intention of letting the works surface while I am working on them, rather than planning them ahead of time.

About Me

Diane Debevec I plan to blog as a way to chronicle this amazing journey of living into a more creative life. A daily journal-writer since 1999, writing has become integral to my life. Hopefully it will add perspective and dimension to this website. Happy reading!
