Getting Lost

Today began with a bandage change for Jeff, by me...I got to practice my nursing skills and may I say I did fairly well.
Then a little PT for the mending Mandy (Who had knee surgery 2 weeks ago). Woof.  I learned that you can make a hot compress using brown rice in an old sock and heated in the microwave.

I wandered over to the studio at noon and was surprised to find myself completely engaged and still  working at 5 and then 6 o'clock.  Learning how to collage and re-creating some images I've been working with for a time, but with collage.  Much of it uses imagery from discarded or never completed works... as well as torn up journal pages of which I have a LOT.  It was gratifying to be trying something new, and while I suspect these may never get to 'finished' (whatever that means), the process is exactly what I need right now.  Good medicine.

About Me

Diane Debevec I plan to blog as a way to chronicle this amazing journey of living into a more creative life. A daily journal-writer since 1999, writing has become integral to my life. Hopefully it will add perspective and dimension to this website. Happy reading!
