Hunting and Gathering

Friday. This week has been more about hunting and gathering than it has been about the physical engagement of making art. Last night we went to the Rohs Street Cafe to see Caitlin Mathes & friends in a cabaret performance. Truly enjoyable and amazing voices. It's a challenge for me to go out at 9 pm to do anything social, but when we do I can find it rewarding, engaging, inspiring. Remind me of this the next time I don't feel up to going out the door.

Reading, watching films, video clips online, the library, coffee shops, time with art-making colleagues. All of it is feeding me and my art making spirit.
