Life Drawing and other things...

Spent 5 hours in a life drawing with color workshop this afternoon. As always, excellent instruction by Emil Robinson. And in Manifest's new drawing studio in Madisonville...much less convenient for me (they used to be at The Essex), but a much better space all around.

Tonight we will finish up taxes, so I can take them to our accountant Mary tomorrow. This is the 3rd or 4th deadline I've given us.  But I do not want to file an extension, and this is one of those annual rituals that is both agonizing and cleansing. Perhaps if I publish this deadline here, I will actually make it happen.

Last night we went to a fundraiser for Circle Tail, a local animal rescue that also trains service dogs, and has a foster program with a prison.  When Whit dies we asked donations be given to Circle Tail and so we have that connection.  What I wasn't expecting was to be moved to tears by the speaker, a deaf woman whose life has been immeasurably enhanced since she got her first service dog just 3 years ago.   She was an excellent speaker, not an easy feat for one who is deaf.  Very inspiring.

About Me
